The organization Solidarités International (SI) has been present in Cameroon since 2014 and has maintained an operational presence in the Far North region since January 2017. In the Far North region, Solidarités International deploys activities, particularly in the departments of Logone and Chari, Mayo Tsanaga and Mayo Sava, which are the departments in the region most affected by the crisis in the Lake Chad basin. The Far North region has been hosting a growing number of Nigerian refugees since 2013 and internally displaced people fleeing the abuses of non-state armed groups active in the area.
As part of its activities in the Far North region, Solidarités International is launching a call for applications for the recruitment of investigators for the various data collections, in order to provide sufficient information on the indicators of the various projects. it implements in the region.
II. Job description
Purpose of the contract: As part of its activities in the Far North region, Solidarités International is launching a call for applications for the recruitment of investigators for the various data collections, in order to provide sufficient information on the indicators of the various projects it implements in the region (Logone and Chari, Mayo Tsanaga and Mayo Sava) using a digital questionnaire on a tablet.
Required profile
- Be at least 18 years old;
- Ability to work in a rural environment;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Be in good physical and moral health;
- Be free of any commitment during the period of the investigation;
- Have a valid CNI;
- Have a good command of computers and the use of Android phones and tablets;
- Proof of relevant experience in data collection in the areas of Food Security, Water Hygiene Sanitation, Essential Household Items and Shelter.
KEY SKILLS:
- Holder of at least a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent diploma
- Minimum professional experience having participated in at least one socio-economic survey
- Knowledge of the socio-cultural practices of the target communities;
- Technical knowledge of Food Security and Livelihoods activities and/or
- Water Hygiene and Sanitation desired but not essential
- Good writing ability
- Good command of French (spoken and written);
- Good knowledge of local languages is an asset (Fulfulde, Mafa, Mandara, Kanouri, Choa Arabic, Kotoko, Mousgoum, etc.)

- Teamwork;
- Respect for the person (beneficiaries and communities);
- Punctuality and availability
- Strong resistance to stress and pressure
