RECRUITMENT NOTICE OF ONE (01) NURSE ACTIVITY MANAGER

MSF is a non-governmental humanitarian organization, created in France in 1971, under the status of non-profit association. The Swiss section was created in 1981 . Winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999, MSF’s mission is to provide humanitarian medical aid to any affected population without distinction of ethnicity, sex, religion, philosophy or political opinion.
The Swiss section of Médecins Sans Frontières has opened programs in the Far North – Mora regions for the management of surgery at the district hospital of Mora and nutrition at the district hospital of Kolofata de la severe acute malnutrition of children under 5 since 2015.
Médecins Sans Frontières Switzerland is looking for a Nurse Activity Manager for its Medico-nutritional and surgical care project in the Far North of Cameroon.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE:

To plan, organize and evaluate your activities concerning nursing care and associated teams, in accordance with the values , MSF policies and protocols and universal health standards, to ensure quality and continuity of care and action plan developments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
     Perform the duties and tasks associated with nursing, i.e. act as a nurse or anesthetist, when required or necessary, in order to optimize resources, by contributing their knowledge and experience.
     Implement all hygiene protocols and procedures and verify that his team follows the same standards, in order to guarantee the quality of care and service in his specialty.
     Organize and coordinate the activities of his team (program of the week, annual leave, absences, etc.), evaluate their performance, define and cover staff training needs in order to ensure coverage of human resources needs and maintain a high level of quality.
     Carry out and/or supervise the management of the (decentralized) pharmacy and medical equipment (drug orders, monitoring of reserves, storage conditions, inventories, monitoring of expired drugs and their destruction, drug consumption, etc.) in his department, in order to efficiently meet material needs.
     Carry out and/or coordinate administrative (exit, transfer formalities, etc.), data and information collection tasks (patient files, forms, statistics, etc.), and prepare regular reports in order to to have up-to-date and reliable information on the day-to-day activity in the project, on the output and on the results and thus to help in decision-making.
     Provide technical support as well as regular monitoring of community activities and work closely with the HP supervisor for the capacitation of Recos
     Ensure regular monitoring of infection control in the hospital environment, relying on the IPC supervisors on different sites.
Selection Criteria
     Diploma in nursing/nursing or anesthetist
     Minimum 2 years of experience as a nurse in functions related to housekeeping.
     Experience working with MSF or other NGOs in developing countries.
     Desirable experience in Organization and Coordination of the management team

     Mastery of office tools (Word, Excel, Internet).
Required qualities: flexibility, ability to supervise a team, ability to work under pressure with people from a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.

     A recent detailed CV mentioning the different experiences A copy of the diploma

     A copy of the work certificates ( and certificates from previous employers if any and any other proof of experience is desirable).
