Yata is a young innovative and passionate start-up created 2 years ago and structured in two entities:

  • Yata Home: online sale of trendy interior decoration items throughout Cameroon 

  • Yata Garden: online sale of natural plants and bouquets of fresh flowers in Douala

Yata aims to become a benchmark player in its sector in Cameroon, and is looking to recruit a dynamic and motivated operational and commercial manager to actively contribute to the growth of the company.

Main missions 

Operational monitoring of the activity: 

  • Management and reporting of sales to management on a weekly basis 
  • Supervision of daily operations 
    • Follow-up of the exchanges between the team and the customers
    • End-to-end order management follow-up: order, delivery, collection of customer returns 
    • Monitoring of the good maintenance of the premises 
    • Monitoring and improving the quality of customer service 
  • Marketing performance monitoring
  • Management of the relationship with suppliers and the various logistics partners 
  • Contribution to the implementation of processes, their optimization and ensures compliance with these processes by the team
  • Strategic and financial monitoring
    • Continual proposal of growth and development strategy to management
    • Proposal and implementation of action plans to achieve the objectives set, in conjunction with management
    • Contribution to the preparation of the budget and the monitoring of expenditure
    • Identification and implementation of ways to optimize expenses
  • Business Development

    • B2B business prospecting
    • Management of the planning of events and physical activities (ex pop-up stores)
    • Representation of the company when needed
    • Prospecting and contribution to the launch of the activity in other cities
    • Organization of B2C commercial campaigns
  • Team management 

    • Day-to-day management of the team: setting objectives, monitoring performance
    • Identification of recruitment needs, identification of resources, contribution to interviews
    • Training the team in best practices

Required Skills

  • You have at least 4 years of experience in sales or logistics
  • You have experience in team management or management of at least 2 people
  • You have a keen sense of organization and are very rigorous
  • You are a very good communicator, you know how to talk to customers, you have good interpersonal skills 
  • You have negotiation skills 
  • You have a spirit of initiative, are proactive, you know how to innovate and find solutions to everyday problems
  • You are comfortable with digital tools and have a creative mind
  • You are autonomous and know how to report blocking points to management
  • You’re not afraid to go out there and get your hands dirty
  • You have a good command of social networks (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
  • You demonstrate excellent written (no spelling mistakes) and oral expression 
  • You are ambitious, like to take on challenges and achieve great things
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit, are hardworking and enthusiastic

Required profile

  • Be based in Douala
  • Have a computer and a smartphone
  • Hold a university degree from bac+2 to bac+5 level (sales, communication, logistics)
  • Have managerial experience 

Your compensation will consist of a fixed + variable based on performance
