The Operations Department is looking for a MIDDLE OFFICE MANAGER for the Securities Back Office Service (SGSS Cameroon) . For this Category 09 position based in Douala, the incumbent will have the following main missions: Participate in the monitoring of payments/delivery and manage the outcome of transactions; Oversee all operational activities of the ‘custodian’; Manage queries related to operational activities; Ensure the operational functions in case of absence of a collaborator of the team.

Main activities

For depository activities

Make the link between the front and the back office in the procedure of entry into the portfolio of a new client; Ensure the implementation of the roadmap for the management of a UCITS entering the portfolio; Ensure the re-calculation of the net asset values ​​of all UCI funds for which the bank is the depositary; Execute transactions related to fund liability management in the information system; Carry out with the SG the daily reconciliation of the securities and cash positions of the fund portfolios, of the units in circulation; Check that the settings related to the accounts are made in accordance with the client’s instruction; Ensure the complete coordination of the process for the custody of the UCITS securities and the monitoring of cash positions;


Maintain the transaction tracking file; Develop automatic monitoring and management tools for all activities, in addition to information systems; Monitor the proper outcome of transactions on the primary market of clients in custody; Ensure that the ‘static data’ database of issuers, counterparties and clients is updated; Ensure the implementation of the configurations prior to the various accounting and invoicing; Coordinate with the back office the invoicing of customers and counterparties; Perform daily / monthly reconciliation: balances and accounts

Anti-Money Laundering / Risks

Manage the risk package and other controls and reporting at the required frequencies; Carry out Managerial and Permanent Surveillance checks; Participate in the development of the KRIs of the SGSS; Perform monthly monitoring of assigned KRIs; Ensure compliance with local rules and regulations; Manage the risk factor


Education required : Bac+4 with specialization in Finance, Management, Stock Exchange, Banking

Experience required : Minimum three (03) years in the Finance sector in general, including at least one (01) year in the field of the stock market

Technical skills : Good knowledge of the activity of ‘Custodian Account Holder Bank’; Specific and proven knowledge of the CEMAC stock and financial market; Excellent computer skills; Good written and verbal communication in French and English

Behavioral skills : Analytical skills; Active listening ; Ability to manage risk; Ability to work under pressure and manage stress; Rigor and sense of organization
