As a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Coordinator you will be responsible for guiding the overall MEAL strategy and its implementation or related activities within projects throughout providing timely and relevant information to stakeholders.

To this end, your responsibilities will be as follows:

 Strategy: You will lead the design and deployment of a robust and context-appropriate MEAL strategy and operational support integrating cross-cutting issues (gender, protection, accountability, do-no-harm, community participation, disability, etc.)

 Training and technical support:
 You will provide methodological support to all program teams on technical issues related to MEAL and cross-cutting issues such as: MEAL plan design, quantitative and qualitative data collection, indicator measurement, complaint response mechanism , “do no harm” analysis, terms of reference for internal and external evaluations, etc.

 Monitoring and evaluation :
You will ensure the quality and relevance of internal monitoring and evaluation activities, recommendations and analyzes produced by your department (studies, maps, etc.).

 Accountability: You will ensure that your department provides cross-functional support and is well integrated with all departments (functional links) as well as consistent with all coordinators and managers.

 HR management and capacity development: You will support the training of program teams in your areas of expertise.

 Knowledge Building: You will contribute to building institutional knowledge and improving MEAL methods and techniques.

The challenges that await you:

  • Review the mission’s MEAL tools in order to optimize them 
  • RRM project in 2 regions, with a strong MEAL component

What you will need to succeed

Training

You can justify a higher degree (min. Master 2 or equivalent) in social sciences, public health, project management, statistical sciences or in another relevant sector.

 Experience

You have at least two years of experience in an international NGO, international professional experience and at least two years in supervision of MEAL teams. Do you already have experience in setting up a MEAL department or in emergency response? It will be greatly appreciated. Have you worked with Première Urgence Internationale before? This will be an undeniable asset!

 Skills

You show a strong capacity for analysis and synthesis, written communication, and know how to transfer knowledge to various audiences through training and mentoring. You master Excel, databases, Kobo and other data management software You have good knowledge of project management, statistics and sampling methods.

 Qualifications

You are able to work independently and take responsibility in a proactive approach, with good management of priorities and workload. You show good leadership, an ability to solve problems, and know how to guarantee effective results in a timely manner. You demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, diplomacy, and a strong resilience to stress.

 Languages

PUI will offer you

 Status: Executive on a Fixed-Term Contract

  • Gross monthly salary: 2,650.00 – 3,130.00 EUR depending on your experience in international solidarity + €50 per semester of seniority with PUI
  • Insurance including medical and complementary health cover, 24-hour assistance, repatriation and provident insurance
  • Accommodation in individual accommodation
  • Living expenses (“Per Diem”)
  • Breaks scheme: 5 working days at 3 and 9 months of mission
  • Paid Leave Scheme: 5 weeks of CP/year + return plane ticket at home every 6 months
