Under the supervision of the Human Resources Associate, the Human Resources Intern provides support to the Human Resources departments, ensuring high quality of work, ensuring accurate, timely and properly recorded/documented service delivery.

The Human Resources Intern works closely with UNDP Operations, Program and Projects and other UN Agencies staff to ensure consistent service delivery.

Main objective of the internship:

  • Support the Human Resources section in the execution of its daily tasks.

More specificly :

  • Support for full compliance with HR processes, rules, regulations, policy and strategy;
  • Support in the preparation of draft descriptions, vacation notices, compilation matrices;
  • Support for the conduct of all recruitment processes;
  • Provide administrative support for updating and maintaining basic data and recruiting candidates: nationals, trainees;
  • Support by acting as secretary in panels/committees;
  • Support in the maintenance of the appropriate filing system for HR files and documents;
  • Support for the reception, registration and distribution of HR correspondence to other sections by including the necessary information;
  • Support for any other administrative and/or logistical task.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the HR Associate, the intern will perform the following tasks:

  • Support for full compliance with HR processes, rules, regulations, policy and strategy;
  • Support in the preparation of Draft Descriptions, Vacancy Notices, Compilation Matrices;
  • Support for the conduct of all recruitment processes;
  • Provide administrative support for updating and maintaining basic data and recruiting candidates: nationals, trainees;
  • Support by acting as secretary in panels/committees;
  • Support in the maintenance of the appropriate filing system for HR files and documents;
  • Support for the reception, registration and distribution of correspondence to other sections by including the necessary information;
  • Support for any other administrative and/or logistical task,
  • Support for the process of digitizing ADMIN STAFFS files,
  • Support for monthly monitoring of staff movements,
  • Perform any other duties required by the supervisor.

Minimum required:

Be regularly enrolled in a year of License in a university establishment; or Be in the first year of obtaining the license, in Human Resources, Management / Social Science;

WHERE

Be regularly enrolled in a Master’s year in a university establishment; or Be in the first year of obtaining a Master’s degree, in Human Resources, Management / Social Science;

  • Have a good knowledge of UNDP missions;
  • Professional experience in Human Resources is an asset;

Perfect mastery of computers and office software (Excel, Word, Access, Power Point and internet use)

Perfect command of French (spoken and written), and a good knowledge of the English language;
