Family traditions and histories are mostly remembered and passed down orally from one generation to the next.
With the younger generation leaving, some family histories may not be passed on to future generations if we don’t preserve them now.
As a field worker, you collect and digitally record these oral histories for future generations.
You will use an Android application and a data collection form to pass interviews (interviews) with the guardians of family traditions in the department of Menoua.
Required profile

Are you a brilliant bachelor, a graduate, ready to embark on a voluntary mission, with monthly compensation? We are recruiting committed people who will work within the framework of the oral genealogy project in the West region and in particular in the Menoua department.
Skills and experience required

  • Reside and have knowledge in culture and traditions of the West and in particular of Menoua
  • Speak French and/or English (knowledge of local languages ​​will be an asset)
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Very good writing and record keeping skills
  • Ability to work quickly without errors and meet deadlines
  • Good attention to detail, learns quickly and must be in good health
  • Knowledge of the use of camera and audio recorder in conjunction with GPS functionality
  • Must not have any other commitment with an institution
  • Have an Android phone and master its use
