BASSAGAL CONSULTING AFRICA is recruiting, for one of its clients in the service sector: ONE (01) BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER M/F ( Ref. RCM0123 ) CDI based in Douala

Reporting to the Managing Director, your main mission will be: 

Carry out, in collaboration with the Marketing teams and the General Manager, Business and Operations, launch, renovation and value analysis projects. 

Your activities will include: 

  • Develop and diversify the company’s services in Cameroon and ensure the quality of communication in its local and international dimension;
  • Manage the best interests of the company taking into account all external constraints (political, economic and socio-cultural); 
  • Increase the company’s client portfolio with the aim of improving profitability and for its development in its sector of activity; 
  • Responsible for achieving the assigned objectives, in the best conditions of profitability and safety; 
  • Study upstream the technical and economic feasibility, and the planning and viability of the service launch briefs; 
  • Advise marketing by providing technical solutions and opportunities for innovation and by anticipating problems; 
  • Develop and disseminate price estimates and consolidate the investment case 
  • Establish and monitor detailed service development schedules; 
  • Mobilize the various actors of the project and ensure the necessary reminders 
  • Organize and lead meetings in order to convince, motivate and federate internal and external interlocutors for decision-making; 
  • Alert management and business in the event of risks, deviations and malfunctions of projects (planning, resources, costs, financial risks) 
  • Monitor marketing agreements and monitor the handling of non-conformities; 
  • Research, identify and prioritize all opportunities that may arise for LJD CAMEROON in strict compliance with the principles of business ethics; 
  • Optimize communication both internally and externally; 
  • Develop a strategy for the development of new services; 
  • Organize business development meetings with potential clients; 
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs; 
  • Promote company products/services by addressing or predicting customer goals; 
  • Develop the company’s service diversification strategy in consultation with the General Management; 
  • Provide reliable feedback and after-sales support; 
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers; 
  • Train core staff to become valuable sales people; 
  • Carrying out technical and economic feasibility studies of new product concepts;
  • Support the sales team in the marketing of new services; 
  • Implement a commercial and communication strategy for new services; 
  • Organize the schedule of activities to be undertaken according to the action plan defined for the year; 
  • Analyze market developments and expectations; 
  • Research and transmit all information relating to the competition to the hierarchy; 
  • Submit a monthly report to the General Management; 
  • Identify potential markets; 
  • Provide competitive intelligence; 
  • Participate in the design and production of advertising gadgets; 
  • Implement a sales strategy for new services; 
  • Ensure a permanent self-assessment of your productivity; 
  • Improve the company’s results by diversifying its activities and increasing its client portfolio; 
  • Satisfy internal and external customers transparently and honestly; 
  • Provide the hierarchy with the information necessary for better decision-making; 
  • Contribute to the good perception of the brand image of the company through its professionalism.

Profile : 

  • Diploma: Business School – Bac + 3 and more or equivalent
  • Experience: 04 years minimum in the Profession 
  • Good computer skills
  • Good command of French and English – another language appreciated 
  • Have a perfect knowledge of the competitive market and the needs of the sector; 
  • Know how to supervise and motivate a team to optimize the performance of the company; 
  • Have communication skills; 
  • Have a sense of diplomacy; 
  • Have a strong capacity for work and geographical mobility; 
  • Proven experience as Business Development Manager, Sales Manager or similar position; 
  • Proven track record in sales; 
  • Experience in customer service is an asset; 
  • Proficiency in MS Office software; 
  • Market knowledge ; 
  • Ability to write a report; 
  • Planning and time management skills; 
  • Be resistant to stress;
