ASSISTANT TO INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER

Tasks

The Operations Department is looking for, on behalf of the International Operations Service, one (01) Assistant to the Head of the International Operations Service . For this category 10 position based in Douala, the incumbent’s main mission will be to oversee the execution of transactions (including independent monitoring) of the TRADE pool, particularly from the point of view of their completeness, compliance, quality and security. He also backs up the International Operations Manager in the event of unavailability.

Main activities

1. Supervise the activity of Pool TRADE

Coach the team; Organize, coordinate and animate the activity of the pool; Coordinate the processing of operations carried out by the Center of Expertise; Analyze pool activity reports on a daily basis, and if necessary take the necessary corrective measures; Ensure a good quality of inter-service relationship according to team spirit; Ensure the promotion of versatility guaranteeing the continuity of service within the pool; Ensure timely processing of complaints; Ensure the reliability and regularity of the internal and regulatory reports produced by the pool; Set objectives and monitor their achievement by employees.

2. Contribute to the dissemination of exchange regulations and the mastery of techniques on international operations

Support service teams and sales force employees in understanding and adopting the provisions of foreign exchange regulations; Support service teams and sales force employees in understanding and adopting the techniques applicable to international operations.

3. Manage resources and budget

Estimate the budget for year N+1; Stay in line with the validated budget and ensure compliance in its execution; Balance the distribution of resources according to the workload.

4. Ensure control of operational risks

Ensure compliance with procedures in the conduct of service activities; Ensure that the daily security checks put in place for each of the activities carried out within the pool are carried out; Monitor and proceed with the accounting clearance of the internal general accounts affected; Sensitize the agents to the respect of the operational procedures and the good realization of the controls; Ensure the traceability and correct archiving of service documents; Alert in the event of anomalies, malfunctions and operational risks observed.

5. Ensure the back up of the International Operations Manager

Ensure the proper completion of regulatory reporting (quality of data communicated, compliance with deadlines); Monitor service projects and work sites.

Profile

Training required : Minimum Bac +4/5 in International Trade, Accounting, Management or related disciplines

Experience required : Experience in the banking sector and/or international operations

Technical skills : Control of banking risks and banking techniques; Mastery of international trade products and techniques; Knowledge of foreign exchange regulations
