Job Description
The Admin/Human Resources Officer is responsible for the daily implementation of human resources and administration in the North area.

General responsibilities:

Ensures adherence to NRC policies, manuals and directives
Implements the Human Resources functions delegated to it in accordance with the action plan
Writes update reports on human resources activities
Ensures the correct archiving of documents
Encourages and is a source of proposals to promote the improvement of the human resource function
Supervises and manages the staff under his supervision

Specific responsibilities:

Identifies the data and prepares the North Payroll for validation by the HR manager (information of data, printing of bulletins, etc.)
In conjunction with the various actors and under the technical supervision of the Support Coordinator and the Area Manager, is in charge of management of the recruitment process for staff in the North according to the procedure in force
Organizes integration sessions for each new employee in the North zones
Responsible for updating and archiving the personnel files of the North in accordance with the guidelines of the NRC
As HR North focal point, provides technical support to the staff of the North zone for all HR issues
Organizes and monitors training for staff in the North.
Accompanies the performance management process of the North and keeps the monitoring database up to date
Is responsible for the administrative monitoring of the staff of the North: registration with the CNPS, management and monitoring of contracts, vacations, sick leave. Support the HR manager in
the implementation of the capacity building policy for staff in the North as well as any HR initiative or project compliance with the Labor Code or other guidelines, SOPs to the HR Coordo or the area manager Ensures the link with partners and local authorities in the North (Labour Inspectorate, CNPS, etc.)

Ensures the drafting and sending of the monthly HR report from the North to the HR Coordo
Ensures good living conditions at the GUEST (work monitoring, equipment maintenance, hygiene monitoring, garden, etc.)
Ensures a good working environment in the office from NRC to Maroua maintenance of equipment, monitoring of hygiene….)

General professional skills:

Professional experience as an officer in a support function in a humanitarian context.
Previous work experience in complex and unstable contexts
English and knowledge of local languages ​​is an asset.
Context specific skills, knowledge and experience:

Results oriented
Good knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Skype and internet
Good knowledge of the Far North Ability
to express yourself in front of a variety of audiences
Strong writing skills

We Offer:

  A potentially renewable 8-month CDD
  Local position based in Maroua with 30% field travel
  Salary: Grade 5 NRC salary grid in Cameroon
  Contract start date: May 2022
