01 Hospitality catering project manager & benchmark experimentation / Sorawel technical assistant

YOUR MISSION

Under the supervision of the Director of Operations and in collaboration with the partner Sorawell. The project manager will guarantee the achievement of the quantitative and qualitative results of the 2 projects.

Its missions will be as follows:

1- For technical assistance to the Sorawel partner:
a. Implement the professional training engineering process and  support the implementation of a quality offer: *

In connection with the Sorawell quality team and the possible support of external experts:

    • Conduct a study of the area’s employment pool;
    • Carry out analyzes of the work situation of the various professions accessible to learners at the end of the training (including self-employment situations, salaried employment in a company and employment with individuals);
    • Write the revised reference documents;
    • Design and coordinate a training plan for the teaching teams of the training courses concerned;
    • Organize and lead the pedagogical training of trainers;
  • Ensure the implementation of monitoring and evaluation of the training provided.

b. Coordinate the formalization of a business plan for short training cycles and support its implementation
In conjunction with the Sorawell short cycle team and the Cameroon Enterprise Development association:

  • Organize the formalization of a business plan for short cycles
  • Support short cycle trainers in its implementation.

vs. Support the creation of a fundraising department

  • Support the creation of a roadmap for the new fundraising department
  • Contribute to the creation of fundraising tools
  • Accompany the skills development of the team, or mobilize the expertise necessary for this activity

2- For the support project for the experimentation of agri-food training standards in partnership with the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training:

  • Supervise the project team
  • Plan and coordinate the implementation of project activities
  • Manage the relationship with the teams of the project coordination unit at the Ministry of Employment and Training
  • Coordinate reporting to the project coordination unit

3- Reporting

  • Organize and ensure project reporting internally and with financial partners
  • Create, track and update project budgets in TIGER
  • Ensure compliance with IECD procedures in the implementation of the project ensure accountability vis-à-vis financial partners.

YOUR PROFILE

Education  : Graduate studies in training engineering

Experience  :

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in teaching, pedagogical coordination and/or reform of training courses
  • Vocational training experience is desirable
  • Experience abroad will be an asset
  • Experience in the competency-based approach will be an asset
  • Knowledge of the hotel and catering trades and industry will be an asset

Status  : local contract

Under the direct responsibility

  • IECD Director of Operations in Cameroon, based in Yaoundé

In close collaboration with :

  • Sorawel management
  • The monitoring and evaluation officer in Cameroon
  • Coordination of the Hospitality and Catering program at headquarters
  • Cross-functional teams (Hospitality and Catering and DAF) at headquarters and in Cameroon

Dates and Duration of the mission:  From April 2023, for a CDD contract
Location:  Yaoundé
Compensation:  according to profile
